Truth Social, the social media platform owned by former President Donald Trump, has officially refuted ongoing speculation regarding the introduction of a new memecoin, labeling the reports as misinformation.
On Tuesday, Truth Social posted a statement affirming, “Contrary to rumors, Truth Social is not launching a memecoin.”
The discussions surrounding the rumored memecoin were sparked when television personality Ran Neuner tweeted on X that a memecoin launch was imminent within the next 72 hours. Neuner, who is known for hosting Crypto Trader on Finance Newso and the Crypto Banter podcast, remarked, “Seems like similar gang to $TRUMP team. Keep your eyes and eyes peeled.”

Neuner’s assertion quickly garnered attention within the cryptocurrency community, igniting speculation among users about the potential new token. Cryptocurrency influencer Wendy O responded to the buzz, describing the idea of a new memecoin as “silly,” suggesting that the focus should instead be on utilizing the existing TRUMP token.
Truth Social launching a memecoin is silly.
They should just use TRUMP.
But in true crypto fashion, by all means keep launching tokens. pic.twitter.com/JU3b9aTQRx

In addition, WLFI, a cryptocurrency project associated with the Trump family, clarified that it is the sole legitimate decentralized finance (DeFi) initiative connected to President Trump. The organization warned that other tokens claiming affiliation with Trump are scams designed to exploit uninformed individuals.
WLFI stated, “Don’t be fooled. There is no new Trump crypto project. WLFI is the only DeFi project backed by the Trumps,” emphasizing the importance of recognizing fraudulent schemes.

Official Trump Coin Sees Optimism, Up 17% Since Last Week
The pro-crypto former president had previously launched his own TRUMP token on the Solana blockchain in January, while First Lady Melania Trump introduced a MELANIA memecoin. Since their debut, both tokens have seen a decline, with the TRUMP and MELANIA coins currently trading at 12.77 and 0.374, respectively.
Despite the downturn, the Official Trump token has recently recorded a 17% increase over the past week, along with a notable 49.7% rise on the monthly chart, as reported by CoinMarketCap.
Nevertheless, daily trading volumes of the TRUMP memecoin have decreased by nearly 10%, reflecting ongoing volatility in the market. Following its launch, the TRUMP token soared to an extraordinary $80, only to lose 85% of its value by March.
