In his first significant action since assuming the role of CEO at Stellantis one week ago, Antonio Filosa has appointed Tim Kuniskis to oversee all American brands while also leading the marketing and retail strategy for North America.
Kuniskis will continue to serve as the CEO of Ram but will now have augmented responsibilities across the company’s U.S. operations. After a brief retirement of seven months, he returned to Stellantis late last year following the unexpected resignation of former CEO Carlos Tavares.
In a notable development, Stellantis has revived its Street and Racing Technology (SRT) performance division.
The newly restructured SRT will unify engineers from Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and Chrysler, focusing on developing high-performance vehicles and engaging in motorsport activities.
“Establishing SRT is an important step for us,” stated Kuniskis in a press release on Wednesday. “We’re getting the band back together.”
Additionally, Kuniskis is spearheading a major product rollout for Ram as part of a strategy to address declining sales over recent years. The brand is set to introduce 25 new products in the next 18 months.
Earlier this month, Kuniskis revealed that the beloved V-8 Hemi engines will make a comeback for Ram 1500 full-size pickup trucks, with availability expected in early 2026.
