In a strategic move to bolster its presence in Europe, prominent cryptocurrency exchange Bybit has officially unveiled a platform tailored for users in Georgia.

The launch of BybitGeorgia.ge marks a significant milestone, as it now holds the distinction of being the only digital asset trading platform operating in Georgia with a full local license. This allows the exchange to facilitate various trading services for its user base.

Georgian users can now engage in spot trading, asset conversion, and over-the-counter (OTC) transactions geared towards high-volume activities, as stated by the exchange’s officials.

Additionally, Bybit Georgia has plans to introduce more features localized for its users. These enhancements will include services for fiat deposits and withdrawals, as well as the Bybit Card, enabling users to utilize cryptocurrency for everyday purchases.

Hello Georgia — we’re thrilled to announce the official launch of Bybit Georgia! Starting July 7, users can enjoy secure, world-class crypto trading with your favorite spot pairs, OTC and convert. But this is just the beginning!

Tekla Iashagashvili, the Country Manager at Bybit Georgia, emphasized that this launch represents a significant step toward the exchange’s broader objective of enhancing global access to digital assets. She shared the exchange’s commitment to supporting Georgia’s evolving digital economy and contributing to the expansion of the global crypto community.

This Georgian extension follows closely on the heels of Bybit’s introduction of Bybit.eu, a platform designed specifically for users in the European Economic Area (EEA).

Furthermore, Bybit has announced the opening of additional regional offices in France, Germany, Spain, and Italy, supplementing its existing facilities in Vienna (Bybit EU GmbH) and Amsterdam (Satos B.V.).

In another development, Ambroise Helaine has been appointed as the Bybit France Country Manager, with ambitions to position Bybit as the premier cryptocurrency application across Europe.

It is worth noting that while Georgia is not a member of the European Union, the country was granted candidate status by the European Commission in late 2023.

‘Launch Campaign Reward Pool Up to 20,000 USDT’

To celebrate its entry into the Georgian market, Bybit Georgia is hosting a Launch Campaign that will run from July 7 to August 7. New users can earn up to 65 USDT in rewards by registering, depositing, and trading after verifying their identities.

Moreover, these rewards can be combined with existing New User Welcome Gifts that provide up to 50 USDT, potentially bringing the total bonuses available to new users to 115 USDT.

The total prize pool for the campaign is capped at 20,000 USDT, with rewards distributed on a first-come, first-served basis within ten business days following the campaign’s conclusion.

Georgian users will also have the opportunity to earn airdrops and trading fee commissions by referring friends to the new platform, with incentives including a 10 USDT bonus for deposits of at least $100 made within the first week and mystery boxes worth up to $1,000 for users with high trading volumes. Referral commission rates range from 20% to 30%, depending on the number of friends referred.

In late May 2023, Bybit announced that it had secured a MiCAR license from Austria’s Financial Market Authority (FMA). This licensing permits it to provide regulated crypto services across 29 EEA countries, thereby reaching an audience of approximately 450 million customers and establishing its headquarters in Vienna.

Conversely, Bybit, alongside Bitget, is reportedly preparing to reduce its operations in Singapore, in response to a directive from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), which jeopardizes the companies’ ability to serve international clients.
