Elon Musk has taken aim at the Senate’s extensive domestic policy bill, branding it as “utterly insane” and detrimental. His latest criticism follows previous harsh remarks about the legislation, which is supported by President Donald Trump.
The billionaire entrepreneur expressed his disdain on X, a social media platform he owns, stating, “The latest Senate draft bill will destroy millions of jobs in America and cause immense strategic harm to our country!”
Musk, CEO of Tesla and currently the world’s richest individual, has consistently criticized Trump’s “big, beautiful bill.” These disagreements have contributed to a notable deterioration in his relationship with the former president, which had previously seemed robust.
Labeling the legislation a “disgusting abomination,” Musk has urged political leaders to “KILL the BILL.”
The fallout from Musk’s comments illustrates a significant shift in their relationship, notably after he allocated over $250 million to support Trump’s re-election efforts and took on the role of leading the controversial Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
In the aftermath of the discord, Musk reflected on the situation, admitting he regretted “some of the posts” he had made concerning Trump and the legislative package.
