The Trump administration announced on Tuesday that it will be slashing an additional $450 million in grants to Harvard University, impacting eight federal agencies, following the previous freeze of $2.2 billion last week.
The Joint Task Force to Combat Anti-Semitism criticized the university for what it described as a failure to adequately address ongoing issues of racial discrimination and anti-Semitic harassment on campus. “Harvard University has repeatedly failed to confront the pervasive race discrimination and anti-Semitic harassment plaguing its campus,” the task force noted in a statement.
The task force further characterized Harvard as a “breeding ground for virtue signaling and discrimination,” intensifying the criticisms aimed at the institution.
This latest funding reduction is part of a series of actions against the prestigious university, which has drawn scrutiny from the Trump administration in recent weeks. The two entities are currently embroiled in a prominent legal dispute.
