During a press briefing on Monday, President Donald Trump issued a stark warning regarding Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine, stating that “secondary tariffs” of nearly 100% could be enacted against nations that trade with Russia if President Vladimir Putin does not reach a resolution within 50 days.
The president expressed his disappointment with Putin, indicating he had anticipated a resolution months prior.
The proposed secondary tariffs would target countries and organizations facilitating purchases of Russian exports.
