On Friday morning, U.S. President Donald Trump called on Tehran to negotiate a nuclear agreement “before there is nothing left,” issuing this statement just hours after Israel commenced a series of airstrikes against Iran.
The Israeli government asserts that these attacks were aimed at disrupting Tehran’s nuclear ambitions. The United States, a close ally of Israel and a significant supplier of arms to the country, confirmed it was informed about the airstrikes but did not engage in the military actions.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump expressed that he had consistently given Iran opportunities to forge a deal. He cautioned Tehran regarding the United States’ superior military capabilities, underscoring, “the United States makes the best and most lethal military equipment anywhere in the World, BY FAR, and that Israel has a lot of it, with much more to come – And they know how to use it.”
Trump warned that the situation is likely to deteriorate further but emphasized that additional violence could potentially be averted. He insisted that Iran must reach an agreement quickly to preserve what was once referred to as the Iranian Empire.
